About Me
Background
I grew up in the small town of Waggoner, Illinois, with a population of just 200 people. Attending Illinois State University was an exciting step for me, as it allowed me to stay close to home while experiencing life in a larger city and exploring new opportunities in design. I have now moved to Charleston, SC where I plan on continuing my career as a graphic designer.
Goals
My primary career goal is to establish myself as a skilled and versatile graphic designer. I am committed to mastering Adobe Creative Suite and continuously refining my design techniques to develop a distinctive and recognizable style. In addition to print and digital design, I aim to expand my expertise in web design by improving my HTML and CSS skills, allowing me to create visually compelling and functional websites.
Beyond technical skills, I am passionate about storytelling through design—whether it’s branding, editorial layouts, or interactive experiences. I strive to create meaningful, engaging visuals that not only look beautiful but also communicate effectively. As I progress in my career, I hope to work on diverse projects that challenge me creatively and push me to innovate. My long-term ambition is to either lead design projects within a creative agency or establish my own freelance brand where I can collaborate with clients to bring their visions to life.
Hobbies
Creativity plays a big role in my life, both professionally and personally. In my free time, I enjoy cross-stitching, painting, and drawing, along with exploring various craft techniques such as linocutting, crocheting, shirt making, vinyl art, digital illustration, and jewelry making. Additionally, I have a passion for cooking and baking—especially making homemade breads like English muffins, rolls, and classic white bread.
