KALW Instagram Carousel

For this project, I designed a continuous Instagram carousel based on an existing brand’s guidelines. I selected KALW, an educational FM radio station in the San Francisco area, because of its bright and vibrant branding, which provided an engaging foundation for the design.

Using KALW’s official color palette, I incorporated three distinct color combinations and leveraged their signature squiggly line pattern to create a seamless, visually cohesive carousel. The topic I chose—California’s income inequality—aligns with the station’s focus on relevant social issues and public discourse.

To enhance readability and engagement, I structured the content with concise statements, ensuring that users remained engaged rather than scrolling past large blocks of text. The final design effectively adheres to KALW’s branding while maintaining a unique and compelling aesthetic.
