Strength Poster

For this project, we were tasked with designing a poster for an international holiday while incorporating type in an unconventional way. I chose to focus on International Women’s Day, using its signature colors—green and purple—to reflect the holiday’s identity.

To create the unconventional text, I experimented with a scanner and a purple flower. As the scanner moved, I dragged the flower across the glass, producing elongated streaks. I repeated this process multiple times and then refined the shapes in Photoshop to form the letterforms.

For the background, I used a motion-based photography technique. By lowering the shutter speed and twisting the camera while capturing an outdoor scene, I created a dynamic, swirling effect that adds movement to the composition.

This project was a challenge to assemble, but I love how the final design turned out—visually striking and engaging, with a creative approach to typography.
